Thrive Restaurant Group, operating as Legacy Apple within Applebee's, invites friendly servers to join our family-oriented team in the Des Moines area. You will serve food and beverages, welcome guests, and ensure a memorable dining experience.

The role emphasizes caring for guests, maintaining a clean, upbeat dining room, handling orders, and assisting with payments; prior experience is welcome but we provide training.

Qualifications

• Desire to care for others, grow, and learn.
• Positive attitude.
• Ability to wipe down tabletops, legs, and booths across the restaurant.
• Transport plates, glasses and baskets to dining room, service bar, and kitchen about 30 times per shift.
• Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills required.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Transport glass racks and cases up to 25 pounds up to 15 times per shift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and drinks and ongoing service to guests.
• Greet guests, answer questions and make suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service.
• Interact with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.
• Relay orders to service bar and kitchen via the POS system.
• Observe and serve guests responding to any needs or requests.
• Present guest checks to each table and facilitate payment; make change or process charges.
• Participate in clearing and resetting dining room tables.
