Job summary

The Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago, part of Vinayaka Hospitality, seeks a friendly Server to join our Food & Beverage team. You will take orders, deliver food and beverages, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, luxury hotel setting on the Magnificent Mile.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to describe menu items with flair while using suggestive selling to highlight house specialties.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
• Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
• Requires basic mathematical ability for payments and check handling.
• Must have basic computer skills for point-of-sale and order entry.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Ability to describe menu items and use suggestive selling to highlight house specialties.

• Take orders for and serve all food and beverage requests, using suggestive selling techniques.
