Job summary

Hyatt Regency Buffalo / Hotel and Conference Center is seeking a housekeeping associate to maintain the lobby area, respond promptly to safety issues, and clean public spaces including restrooms and the pool area. You will greet guests warmly and help ensure a clean, presentable environment throughout the property.

The full-time, on-site role requires reliability, physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift light loads, and the ability to work varying shifts to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• High work ethic and self-initiative.
• Regular attendance according to established guidelines.
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
• Focus and maintain attention to tasks, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions.
• Physical requirements for an in-office role, including sitting at a desk and using a computer.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the entire front lobby is clean and presentable for the guest.
• Immediately respond to and correct any potential safety conditions such as a wet floor due to guests tracking in rain or snow.
• Clean pool area and restrooms.
• Clean all public restrooms and stock all necessary items.
• Empty the trash from all offices, including the Sales, Executive and Front offices.
• Clean, dust, mop, vacuum and polish the lobby area including ashtrays, furniture, house phones, wall fixtures, plants, vending machines, glass and windows.
• Greet guests in a courteous fashion.
