Job summary

RaceTrac, Inc. is hiring a Store Associate in a fast-paced retail environment. You will greet guests at the register or self-checkout, restock shelves, and maintain store cleanliness to deliver a top-notch guest experience.

Responsibilities include assisting in food preparation, following safety rules, and upselling products. This role offers flexible schedules, training, and opportunities for advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or in progress).
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment is a plus.
• A team player who takes the initiative and enjoys working with people.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks like bending and standing.
• May be required to obtain and maintain food handler or alcohol server permits, depending on state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and teammates with a smile, responding promptly and courteously to both.
• Respond promptly and respectfully to management directions, and be flexible and capable of working in all areas of the store.
• Prepares, handles, and serves food in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Willing and able to clean all areas of the store, following established cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Operate the cash register and handle transactions with accuracy and friendliness.
• Act as the first point of contact for guest concerns and escalate when needed.
• Meet guest transaction expectations by managing lines and communicating clearly.
• Inform guests about promotional food items to raise awareness and drive engagement.
