Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Guest Service Department Lead to support the Department Manager and lead a team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will coach and mentor your team, ensuring every guest feels welcome and every area looks its best, while stepping in as acting manager when needed.

You will monitor schedules, uphold cash procedures, and collaborate with other leaders to drive store success, with a focus on hospitality, teamwork, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hotels, or general business.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proven ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience while achieving performance goals.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Monitor labor schedules to meet productivity and budget goals.
• Execute and uphold cash office procedures and controls including management of cash, keys and the safe.
• Act as a resource for team members and provide guidance in the manager’s absence.
• Model and coach premium hospitality by actively engaging guests and creating positive experiences.
• Assist in merchandising strategies and promotional plans to maximize sales and profitability.
• Analyze department financial and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with other department leaders to drive store success.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and effectively.
