Job summary

Double Star Hospitality Morgantown is seeking a friendly Houseperson to help maintain clean public areas and support the housekeeping team. You will ensure hallways, lobby and guest spaces stay inviting and assist with room preparation.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, welcomes training, and brings a guest-focused mindset, reliable cleaning knowledge, and good time management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• We will train the right person who has a positive attitude.
• Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and products.
• Hard worker with strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of the guest rooms and hallways, as well as the lobby and other workspaces.
• Strip rooms for housekeepers; linen and trash removal.
• Check all allocated floors at the start of each shift and during the day to collect garbage and other items as directed by management.
• Ensure the highest level of customer service by anticipating and responding quickly to visitors' requests.
• Restock linen supply on each floor by transporting clean linen to the housekeeping storage facilities.
• Assist room attendants with heavy tasks such as bed stripping, mattress rotation, and moving oversized items.
• Follow standard operating procedures for cleaning carpets, upholstery, floors, and fixtures.
