Job summary

Garner by IHG is seeking a detail-oriented Houseperson to maintain the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and public areas in our hotel. This role operates in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and guest comfort while coordinating with the housekeeping team.

This position requires reliability, the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays, and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to bend, stoop, and lift heavy objects.
• Reliable and available for evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude toward work.

Responsibilities

• Room Management: Collect the daily room assignment report and key, ensuring all keys are returned at the end of the day.
• Noise Control: Minimize noise in guest areas to respect guests’ privacy and comfort.
• Room Cleaning: Clean guest rooms in accordance with established procedures to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
• Public Area Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness in public areas of the hotel, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.
• Supplies Management: Restock room supplies and amenities as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Reporting Issues: Report any maintenance issues or concerns regarding guest rooms to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the housekeeping team to meet the hotel's cleanliness standards and operational goals.
• Guest Engagement: Interact with guests to promote a friendly atmosphere, encouraging feedback and building rapport to enhance the overall experience
