Qualifications

• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Must be able to use cleaning and laundry equipment.
• Basic English skills required.
• May be assigned to perform duties at any of our properties within walking distance on the island of Nantucket.

Responsibilities

• Strip and make beds.
• Clean surfaces in guest rooms and common areas to ensure health standards are met.
• Replenish linens, towels, and guest amenities.
• Carry and transfer linens, towels, toiletries and other guest amenities, and cleaning supplies.
• Launder towels, linens, and other items on site; load washing machines and dryers, iron and fold dried items.
• Sort, count, inventory, mark and store clean linens.
• Empty wastebaskets, clean ashtrays, and transport waste to disposal areas.
• Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items.
• Move and arrange furniture.
• Clean, organize, and remove debris or other items from common areas.
• Receive inquiries from and communicate information to guests.
• Report safety hazards and other maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor or manager.
• Comply with all applicable health and safety codes and regulations.
