Job summary

Hyatt Regency Houston Downtown is seeking a Housekeeping Houseperson to support the housekeeping team in maintaining guest rooms, public areas, guest floors, and service spaces. You will help deliver a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests while supporting operational efficiency within the department.

The role requires physical stamina, strong teamwork, and flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Prior cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Wlexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Customer-focused and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas, guest corridors, service areas, and back of house spaces.
• Support housekeeping operations by delivering linen, removing trash, and assisting room attendants as needed.
• Ensure prompt response to housekeeping requests and departmental needs throughout the shift.
• Operate cleaning equipment and handle chemicals safely following established procedures.
• Maintain organization of storage areas, closets, and supplies.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects and special assignments as directed by leadership.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication with housekeeping colleagues and other hotel departments.
• Promote Hyatt’s Culture of Care through attention to detail and service excellence.
