Commonwealth Lodging Management LLC in Columbia, SC is seeking a diligent Housekeeping Aide to maintain guest rooms and public areas, respond to guest requests, and uphold brand standards.

You will handle daily cleaning tasks, restock supplies, report maintenance issues, and assist guests with special requests while ensuring confidentiality and safety. This role requires physical stamina and teamwork in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive guest relations and confidentiality.
• Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction and communicate with guests and team members.
• Know hotel features/services, hours, rates, packages, promotions, and daily operations.
• Use equipment properly and ensure safe maintenance practices.
• Handle chemicals per OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
• Complete daily reports and stock linen room with supplies.
• Sweep and mop front-of-house areas, clean trash cans and elevator tracks.
• Maintain pool areas and clean pool windows and bathrooms daily.
• Clean ice and soda machines, dust light fixtures in hallways.
• Clean rugs, carpets and upholstery; wash walls, move furniture and turn mattresses.
• Remove dirty linen from chutes and hallways; pick up trash after shifts.
• Deliver towels, cribs, cots and other items to guest rooms on request.
• Turn in lost and found items to supervisor; assist colleagues and guests as needed.
• Stay aware of local attractions to answer guest inquiries accurately.
• Assist in emergencies to protect guests and the building and its systems.
• Have basic knowledge of local downtown area for guest recommendations.
• Follow all department, Commonwealth Lodging Management and hotel policies.
• Adhere to brand standards, policies and procedures.
