Job summary

Lexima is seeking a diligent Housekeeper to support housekeeping operations within designated suites and public areas. You will receive daily room lists, prepare carts, and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met across guest areas.

Role requires lively teamwork, flexibility for varying shifts, and strict adherence to PPE and safety guidelines. Excellent customer service and professional appearance are essential to maintain guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping and hotel laundry operations required.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Long hours sometimes required.
• Exhibits initiative, responsibility and flexibility.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Friendly, cooperative manner and patience in dealing with customers and staff.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English with coworkers, employees, owners, and management, both written and verbally.
• Must be able to understand and follow directions, guidelines and work objectives as set forth by the supervisor.
• Must be able to understand the potential hazards and subsequent procedures involved in working around commercial cleaning agents and light machinery.
• Must use common sense and integrity in ensuring the security of guest belongings while working in occupied suites.

Responsibilities

• Receives a list of rooms at the start of shift to identify rooms and public spaces to be cleaned during shift.
• Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including guest supplies, cleaning supplies and linen for housekeeping cart set-up.
• Must be capable of utilizing both hands to perform tasks such as changing bed linens and scrubbing pots.
• Must be capable of reaching overhead to dust tops of equipment and place items in cupboards.
• Must be capable of moving light furniture to clean under items.
• Practice safe use of all cleaning agents and PPE.
• Prepare housekeeping cart for the next day’s use.
• Remove all trash and dirty linen from guest suites.
• Keep hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed.
• Report missing items from rooms to Executive Housekeeper.
• Use two-way radios, telephones and housekeeping equipment.
• Ensure proper care of housekeeping equipment and facilities and report maintenance as needed.
• Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor and dress code compliance.
• Be attentive, courteous and efficient in dealings with guests and staff.
• Comply with brand standards and regulations for hotel operations.
• Communicate with other hotel staff to accommodate special guest requests.
• Participate in all-employee meetings and events.
