The Inn at Lost River is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to create welcoming, spotless guest spaces in a small hospitality team. You will clean rooms, stock amenities, and ensure every area meets our high standards, contributing to memorable guest experiences.
Candidates should be able to work independently with attention to detail, lift up to 35 pounds, and be available for weekend shifts. This on-site role emphasizes quality, consistency, and a caring approach to each guest room.
We're looking for someone who takes genuine pride in creating beautiful spaces.
This position is much more than cleaning rooms. It's preparing an experience. We are seeking someone who notices the little things, enjoys creating order, and believes details matter.
Thoroughly clean and prepare guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to Inn standards.
Make beds with crisp, wrinkle-free linens and carefully arranged pillows.
Replace amenities, refreshments, and guest supplies.
Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all assigned areas.
Inspect every room before leaving to ensure it is guest-ready.
Notice and correct details that may otherwise go overlooked, including misplaced furniture, outdated guest information, fingerprints, smudges, or other signs of wear.
Report maintenance concerns, damaged furnishings, or inventory shortages promptly.
Maintain housekeeping supplies and equipment in excellent condition.
Assist with laundry as needed.
Work independently while maintaining consistent quality and efficiency.
Help preserve the welcoming atmosphere and high standards that define the Inn at Lost River.
We're looking for someone who naturally notices details.
The ideal candidate:
Takes pride in creating beautiful, welcoming spaces.
Doesn't walk past something that could be improved.
Understands that guests notice the small details, even when they don't mention them.
Is dependable, organized, and self-motivated.
Enjoys working independently.
Is physically able to perform housekeeping duties throughout the day.
Appreciates that every room represents our reputation.
We can teach our procedures. What we're really looking for is someone who cares about doing things well.
Before considering a room complete, we encourage every housekeeper to pause at the doorway and look at the room through the eyes of a first-time guest.
Ask yourself: "If I were arriving for a special weekend away, would this room exceed my expectations?" If the answer is yes, you've done your job.
Previous housekeeping, hotel, hospitality, or cleaning experience preferred.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent attention to detail.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and remain active throughout the shift.
Weekend availability is preferred.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
You’ll be part of a small hospitality team where quality matters more than speed.
Unlike large hotels where rooms are cleaned assembly-line style, you’ll have the opportunity to prepare each room with care and attention. Your work directly shapes the memories our guests take home and the reviews they leave behind.
At the Inn at Lost River, housekeeping isn’t behind the scenes. It’s one of the most important parts of delivering exceptional hospitality.
