Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
• Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Must possess basic computational ability.
• Must possess basic computer skills and be able to operate reservation and point-of-sale systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly upon arrival and thank them upon departure.
• Manage seating assignments according to restaurant procedures and available seating.
• Maintain wait lists and communicate estimated wait times accurately.
• Answer telephone calls, take reservations, and provide guests with information regarding restaurant services and hours of operation.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, lobby, and dining areas.
• Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure efficient seating and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor restaurant capacity and assist with guest flow during peak business periods.
• Address guest inquiries and communicate concerns or special requests to the appropriate team member or supervisor.
