Job summary

GROTTO PIZZA INC. in Lancaster is seeking a Host who works under the Front of House Manager’s direction to ensure efficient seating flow and exceptional service for all patrons.

You will greet guests, escort them to tables, provide menus and supplies, inform them of specials, and maintain cleanliness and order in the foyer and dining area. This role supports coworkers and may involve training new hosts.

Qualifications

• Some secondary education.
• Previous guest service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Escort guests to tables, provide menus and supplies as applicable.
• Inform guests of specials, promotions, and general restaurant information.
• Maintain a consistent flow of seating considering server stations and rotation procedures.
• Maintain foyer, entrance ways, and dining room cleanliness, including host stand and decorations.
• Know promotions, menu items, dining room sections, table numbers, and seating availability.
• Update chalkboards and floor charts; maintain supplies such as coloring pages.
• Provide support services to coworkers as business flow dictates.
• Assist in training of new hosts and other employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
