Job summary

The Rose Gaming Resort in Dumfries, Virginia, a $480 million gaming and entertainment complex, is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage Host to ensure a welcoming front-of-house. You’ll help guests have a positive experience and assist with seating, service flow and event support.

Compensation is $16 per hour. The role requires 18+ years of age, at least six months of restaurant service, and the ability to lift 25–50 pounds, plus necessary training and licenses.

Qualifications

• Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
• Obtain and retain required license(s).
• Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Take reservations, set up room seating chart and room flow to accommodate daily needs for guests.
• Greet guests and show them to dining tables.
• Present menu & wine menu, information regarding specials, soup and introduce server.
• Take orders and enter orders into the system, collect and record payments.
• Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
• Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, respond to complaints, and thank guests as they are leaving.
• Answer restaurant telephone line during assigned hours of operation.
• Other duties as assigned.
