Job summary

Hai Hospitality is seeking Hosts for Uchi Newport Beach on Mariner's Mile. Orientation is planned for late November with opening in late December 2026.

Hosts earn $16.90/hr + tips, typically $20–$25/hr in total, and must be available a minimum of 4 days per week including mornings, nights and weekends. Join a hospitality-focused team offering dining discounts, insurance options, a 401k plan, and growth from within.

Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and employees.
• Lift and carry trays up to 50 lbs and assist with restocking.
• Stand and walk for extended periods in a fast-paced setting.
• Able to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, manage seating and assist with flow in a busy dining area.
• Answer questions about menus, hours and events with courtesy.
• Coordinate with front-of-house to ensure timely service and turnover.
• Maintain cleanliness of host stand and dining area.
• Assist with safety checks and allergen awareness as needed.
