Job summary

Tastes On The Fly in Dublin, OH is seeking a friendly host/hostess. Greet guests warmly, manage seating to balance guest flow, and share estimated wait times with accuracy.

No prior restaurant experience is required and we provide training to ensure you excel in a fast-paced dining environment. Grooming and clear communication are highly valued, and you’ll coordinate with servers and bussers, relay messages, and thank guests as they depart.

Qualifications

• Clear communication in the predominant language of guests.
• Stand for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Exceptional grooming habits.
• No prior restaurant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
• Open the front door for guests when possible.
• Record guest names and party size when immediate seating is limited.
• Call out name and party number when tables become available.
• Provide guests with estimated wait times.
• Accommodate special seating requests when possible.
• Seat guests according to preferences and guest flow.
• Present menus and inform guests of servers’ names; inspect table presentation.
• Relay messages to servers and buspersons as needed.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
