Job summary

Idlewild is hiring for seasonal guest services roles at our family-friendly park in Pennsylvania. As a team member, you will greet guests, answer questions, sell tickets, scan passes, and help ensure a safe, welcoming experience for every visitor.

No formal education required; we value reliability, communication, and a positive attitude. Flexible scheduling, cross-training across departments, free park admission on days off, and invitations to employee events are offered.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to follow directions, multi-task, and work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the park in a warm and friendly manner.
• Courteously assist guests with questions and complaints.
• Measure height of all persons entering the park and enforce height restrictions.
• Sell and collect tickets and season passes.
• Utilize POS equipment to record transactions accurately.
• Scan passes, tickets, and wristbands for entry validation.
• Provide materials, promotions, or souvenirs to pass holders.
• Check bags for prohibited items at entry.
• Monitor exits and re-entry of guests.
• Serve as primary contact for general park questions and inquiries.
• Convey park information and policies accurately and timely.
• Handle questions/complaints via in-person, phone, or email.
• Deescalate guest concerns with a positive attitude.
• Direct department requests to the appropriate manager.
• Monitor park communications including calls and radio.
• Maintain a clean Main Gate operation area.
• Replenish maps and keep workspace tidy.
• Ensure rental items do not leave the park (strollers, wheelchairs, etc).
• Maintain compliance with company policies to ensure safety.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
• All other duties assigned by leadership.
