Job summary

American Girl, a subsidiary of Mattel, is seeking a Host at our Chicago location to greet guests, manage seating and reservations, and assist the restaurant team. You will use Zomato reservations and InfoGenesis, along with Microsoft Office, to perform key duties and support staff in delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as a restaurant host, hotel concierge, or related customer service position, preferred.
• Computer skills including restaurant reservation and POS systems, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and use of basic office equipment (copiers/fax), preferred.
• Experience working with children, preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat restaurant guests promptly and professionally.
• Manage reservations and waitlists to maximize seating capacity.
• Provide guests with information about the store and restaurant events.
• Utilize reservation and POS systems (Zomato, InfoGenesis) and MS Office to perform duties.
• Support restaurant staff to deliver an outstanding dining experience.
• Communicate clearly dining room setup and special requests to team.
