Qualifications

• Basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service taught through in-house training.
• Trustworthy; can be relied upon to handle payments and operate cash register.
• Must be able to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work well groomed, in proper and clean uniform and practices good personal hygiene.
• Uses greeting, seating, and waiting list procedures.
• Accounts for cash handling and information security (credit cards, gift cards, etc.).
• Keeps reception area and restrooms clean and stocked.
• Processes guest checks accurately with no overages/shortages.
• Anticipates and corrects system issues to maximise guest satisfaction.
• Assists pantry maintenance and pre-rush organization.
• Supports servers and bus staff to uphold Perkins service standards.
• Handles cash and non-cash transactions with proper procedures.
• Keeps cash register area stocked with needed items.
• Communicates issues with Manager on Duty and coworkers.
• Monitors food temperatures to reduce risk factors.
• Knows menu well to suggest upsell to guests.
• Maintains bakery display cleanliness and restocks.
• Understands bakery products for upsell and sampling.
• Packages products according to standards.
