Job summary

Detroit F&B in Romulus, MI is seeking a Host/Hostess to deliver First Class service, greet guests, manage seating, and assist with cash handling and carryout orders. You will work with the dining team to maintain a welcoming atmosphere and ensure smooth service.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced restaurant environment. On-site position with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Clear and concise communication with team, managers, and guests.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle money and a POS system.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Able to work unsupervised for extended periods with good judgment.
• Flexible shifts in a 7/365 team environment.
• Excellent customer service and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Exceed First Class Service standards for every guest.
• Greets guests with a friendly attitude.
• Maintain entrance and welcome guests per standards.
• Respond to guest concerns.
• Bus tables, take carryout orders, restock display.
• Use seating chart for rotation of stations.
• Record seating times with high quality service.
• Seat guests and present the menu.
• Communicate with wait staff to ensure positive guest experience.
• Perform cashier and/or bus duties including cashing out.
• Answer phones and guest questions.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment; may include sweeping and mopping.
• Comply with all laws including food safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
