Job summary

Big Night Entertainment Group in Mashantucket, CT is seeking a part-time Restaurant Host to greet guests, manage reservations, and escort guests to tables. The role requires a neat appearance, strong communication, and weekend availability in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Base pay is $19.00 per hour, with expectations to maintain guest relations, oversee seating flow, and collaborate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure excellent service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year previous hosting experience in a fast-paced bar/restaurant.
• A neat and professional appearance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, the public and co-workers.
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members.
• Must have weekend availability.
• Must have a friendly and welcoming demeanor, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests with a welcoming smile and providing fast, friendly service.
• Managing reservations and waitlists, offering estimated wait times.
• Assigning and escorting guests to their tables.
• Monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervening when needed according to company guidelines.
• Promoting Big Night Entertainment Group in a positive and professional manner.
• Working well with others as you will be working with other hosts, servers, bartenders, support and management.
• Remembering guest’s names and utilizing them when appropriate.
• Maintaining a clean and stocked work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
