Job summary

Morongo Casino Resort & Spa's Good Times Café seeks a friendly Host to greet guests, manage seating, and assist with server coordination. You will handle reservations, seat assignments, and POS transactions to ensure a smooth dining experience.

The role requires clear communication, a professional appearance, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, casino-hotel environment. Prior guest service experience is preferred; flexibility with shifts is important.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in guest service or restaurant operations preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests, confirm seating preferences and escort to tables.
• Manage reservations, seating charts, waitlists and table assignments.
• Process guest payments for dine-in and to-go orders following cash-handling procedures.
• Monitor dining room and public areas to anticipate guest needs and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Communicate with servers and management regarding seating status and guest flow.
• Operate the POS system for payments and assist with cashier duties as needed.
• Take and input guest food and beverage orders when required, ensuring accuracy.
• Assist with bussing, clearing, and resetting tables during peak periods.
• Stock host and cashier areas and prepare materials for service.
• Inquire about guest needs and respond professionally to seating inquiries.
