Job summary

Ridley’s Family Markets is seeking a store associate to provide friendly, efficient service and support front-end operations. You will assist guests, bag purchases, and help keep aisles and carts organized while following safety rules and store policies.

Responsibilities include responding to pages, supporting price checks, housekeeping duties, and promoting a positive shopping experience through courteous communication and teamwork with other departments.

Qualifications

• Licenses: None required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.
• Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit and develop customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
• Promote a high level of morale within department and store, utilizing friendly professional methods of honest and open communication.
• Maintain good working relationships with other department managers with the objective of improving sales storewide.
• Comply with all company policies, programs and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct.
• Provide professional examples for other store team members to follow.
• Bag guests’ purchases promptly and efficiently within proper guidelines; carry purchases to their automobiles in a friendly, prompt, efficient manner; ensure products are placed safely.
• Fill all bag slots and supplies necessary for efficient front-end operations.
• Assist with price checks and go-backs.
• Assist with general housekeeping and ‘sweep sheet’ duties as assigned.
• Keep the parking lot clear of carts and return them to proper store location; follow safety policies regarding cart retrieval; wipe down kids carts and remove clutter.
