Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a store associate in Newton, MA to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers locate products, and process checkout efficiently.

You will unload trucks, stock merchandise, and support omnichannel processes such as BOPIS and SFS, while upholding store standards and brand promises. Responsibilities include engaging customers in rewards programs, educating on VOC surveys, and maintaining in-stock conditions with planograms.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to engage customers and drive sales.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop our store, and find what they’re looking for.
• Ensure a fast and friendly checkout experience with cash handling to standards.
• Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties; maintain store recovery to deliver Brand Promises.
• Engage customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards; enrollments.
• Educate customers on VOC survey and feedback channels.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs).
• Recovery and maintenance of merchandise, returns/go-backs; in-stock management (SISO) and AD set duties.
• Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and Company policies.
• Interact respectfully; promote company vision and values; act as a role model for teammates.
• Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Other duties as assigned.
