Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to deliver outstanding customer experiences at our Myrtle Beach store. You will bag groceries at checkout, assist customers with loading bags into their car, and help maintain a clean, safe shopping environment for all guests.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Strive to bag at least five items per bag while keeping contents intact.
• Follow best practices for bagging with different bag types.
• Help remove customer merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Know store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs.
• Create welcoming environment by answering product questions across the store.
• Follow local, state, and federal laws and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments.
• Manage conflicts in a calm, cooperative manner.
• Be honest and protect customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
• Provide support for minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
