Job summary

Co-Dough in Newport, RI is hiring a cashier to be one of the first people customers interact with and to help keep the front of the bakery moving smoothly during peak times.

You’ll greet customers, take orders, handle cash and card transactions, and keep the display and front area organized. A fast-paced environment requires attentiveness, reliability, and a friendly, proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Friendly and comfortable talking to customers.
• Reliable and on time.
• Able to move quickly and stay focused when it gets busy.
• Detail-oriented and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Greet and help customers.
• Take orders accurately using our POS system.
• Handle cash and card transactions.
• Package orders and keep products looking presentable.
• Keep the front of the bakery clean, organized, and stocked.
• Keep the line moving during busy periods.
• Answer questions about our products and availability.
• Communicate with the rest of the team throughout service.
• Restock supplies before they run out.
• Help with opening, closing, cleaning, and other shop tasks as needed.
