Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a friendly Cashier II to join our store team. You will handle transactions, keep the food and beverage area stocked, and deliver excellent customer service to travelers.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years cashier experience, knowledge of computer/POS systems, cash handling skills, and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays. Training will support you as you grow with TA.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cashier experience required.
• Computer/POS knowledge required.
• Cash handling skills required.
• Merchandising/stocking experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
• Serve each customer courteously, quickly and efficiently with a positive attitude.
• Process transactions on a POS register; maintain a clean, well-stocked area.
• Assist with receiving product and restocking merchandise on planograms.
• Help train lower-level cashiers on duties and responsibilities.
• Prioritize work according to store and management needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe situations.
• Establish strong communication with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
