Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies in Goodlettsville, TN is seeking a part-time, on-site Cashier/Checker to deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will greet customers, process transactions accurately at the check lane, and maintain a safe, clean environment that reflects our values of respect and safety.

Responsibilities include operating the POS system, handling multiple tenders, following pricing and policy guidelines, and assisting customers with questions about products and promotions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, UPCs and coupons per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items and store policies.
• Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures.
