Job summary

Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. You will clean tables and dining areas, stock stations, and ensure dishes and glassware are ready for service in a fast-paced casino environment.

Ideal candidates show reliability, excellent customer service, and the ability to stand and move for long periods. Prior restaurant experience is preferred, and lifting up to 40 pounds may be required.

• Must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Clean tables by removing soiled dishes, silverware, glassware, and refuse and wipe surfaces
• Set up tables according to established standards
• Receive and fulfill beverage orders
• Greet guests seated in assigned station
• Receive and fulfill/refill drink orders
• Remove dishes from tables and place in plastic bus tub (approx. 40 lbs. in weight)
• Set up tables according to established standards
• Transport filled bus tubs to kitchen dishwashing area
• Maintain cleanliness of side station and all work areas
• Ensuring the smooth and timely flow of orders from Kitchen to the Guest
• Checking dishes for accuracy and presentation
• Assisting in final dish preparation
• Maintaining fast service
• Handling customer complaints
• Upholding quality and sanitation standards
• Completing side work as needed
