Job summary

Courtyard Alexandria is seeking an energetic bartender to provide friendly, efficient beverage service to hotel guests and restaurant/bar patrons. You will greet guests, present menu options, mix drinks, and ensure a memorable experience.

You will keep the bar organized, manage stock, handle POS transactions, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards. A positive attitude, reliability, and flexible schedule are essential to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

• Friendly Greeting: greet guests and describe food and beverage options clearly.
• Bar Organization: maintain proper setup of the bar area.
• Bar Stocking: stock beverages and bar supplies; manage garnishes and perishables.
• Mixology: craft drinks using standard recipes and portion control.
• Meeting Attendance: attend monthly departmental meetings.
• POS Skills: input orders and process payments accurately.
• Cash Management: manage cash, verify charges, balance takings.
• Bar Stock Management: store beverages and equipment; secure deposits.
• Bar Manicure: sanitize and clean the bar area.
• Side work: complete daily inventory prep and other tasks.
• Menu Knowledge: know current offerings and promote drinks.
• Food Safety: follow safety procedures and handling policies.
• Cleanliness: keep restaurant and surroundings clean.
• General Hotel Knowledge: know hours and amenities.
• Team Player: collaborate with service and kitchen teams.
