Job summary

Paradies Lagardère in Atlanta, GA is hiring a Barista to create an amazing guest experience by preparing tea, coffee, and espresso drinks and serving with prompt service. You will greet guests, take orders within 30 seconds, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while adhering to grooming and uniform guidelines.

Responsibilities include handling payments at the POS, knowledge of menu items, assisting with training new team members, and supporting other restaurant duties as needed to

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Food and beverage experience is preferred.
• Customer service focused and solution oriented.
• Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment.
• Knowledge of math to figure cost, make change, and cash handling procedures.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members.
• Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with customers and peers.
• ServSafe Certification or equivalent, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and take drink orders within 30 seconds of arrival.
• Operate coffee making equipment; dismantle and clean machinery as needed.
• Prepare and present beverages according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Process payments at the POS and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and comply with safety guidelines.
• Know the menu well and be enthusiastic about products to assist guests.
• Assist with training new team members and support other restaurant duties as needed.
• Maintain excellent guest satisfaction and resolve issues with manager assistance as necessary.
