Job summary

Le Pain Quotidien in Philadelphia is seeking friendly team members to join our warm, welcoming brand. You will provide attentive service, anticipate guest needs, and assist in both dining room and retail spaces.

Prior restaurant experience and a willingness to be cross-trained across roles are appreciated. We offer health coverage, PTO, a 401(k) match after 90 days, commuter benefits, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems, especially Toast, a plus.
• Flexibility in schedule is highly preferred but not required.
• Ability to be cross-trained in all areas of the dining room and retail space preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests throughout the visit.
• Anticipate guest needs and note preferences.
• Prepare all drinks for retail and dining room, including batches for the retail counter.
• Properly bag, box, and arrange to-go food and pastry.
• Perform sales transactions in accordance with Le Pain Quotidien cash handling policy.
• Maintain and consolidate pastry display throughout the day.
• Maintain full knowledge of pastry, bread, kitchen, beverage, and retail items.
• Handle guest situations with empathy and elevate to a manager as necessary.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures; complete daily checklist and side work assignments.
• Keep all areas of the restaurant clean and organized by cleaning checklists.
• Answer the phone with proper etiquette; take orders over the phone.
