Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a part‑time Customer Service Associate in Mount Arlington, NJ to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, stock shelves, and help unload trucks while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, plus a customer‑minded attitude. Ideal candidates have prior retail or service experience and can lift 30–50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
