Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services is seeking a cashier to greet customers, process transactions, and maintain cash accuracy with strong customer service skills. You will balance cash, handle deposits, and ensure proper stocking and safety practices on shift. Training in Food Handling and Alcohol Service may be required by location.

The ideal candidate has prior cash handling and customer service experience and can work independently to support a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Basic math and counting skills required.
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Complete Food Handler and Alcohol Service trainings as required by location.

Responsibilities

• Operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs.
• Count, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out cashier slip and deposits.
• Adhere to Aramark's cash handling policies and procedures.
• Understand and be knowledgeable of merchandise for sale to assist customers and process transactions.
• Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned for unit based on operating hours.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment during service and at end of shift.
• Ensure product in location is stocked to appropriate levels and replenish items as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
