As a Guest Advocate, you will welcome, thank, and exceed guest expectations through interaction and recovery. You will promote both in-store and digital services, helping guests adopt and use features that foster loyalty. Your goal is to make shopping quick and easy at checkouts, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive-up options, ensuring high-quality service.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience:
    • Greet guests authentically and create a welcoming environment
    • Observe and understand guest needs through body language and cues
    • Engage genuinely, asking questions to understand needs
    • Be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to resolve issues
    • Thank guests sincerely and express happiness they chose Target
  • Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and safely
  • Minimize wait times while maintaining service quality
  • Inform guests about current store events and launches
  • Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up
  • Show guests how to use Wallet and Target App features
  • Guide guests through fulfillment services and enrollments
  • Handle returns following store policies, partnering with leaders as needed
  • De-escalate negative situations and recover guest satisfaction
  • Provide accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Stock supplies and assist guests during store hours
  • Follow safety and compliance protocols
  • Support guest services like order pickup, Drive-up orders, including Starbucks DU, and DU Returns
  • Perform other duties as needed
