Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage, and ultimately guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive-up while ensuring exceptional quality.

The Role of a Guest Advocate

This role provides skills and experience in:

  • Communicating and interacting with guests to build an inclusive guest experience
  • Problem-solving and decision-making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve concerns
  • Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
  • Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings, and services
Typical Responsibilities
  • Delivering a service culture that prioritizes guest experience
  • Greeting guests authentically and observing body language and verbal cues to assist
  • Engaging with guests to understand their needs and offering solutions
  • Knowing store tools, products, and services to assist guests effectively
  • Scanning and bagging items efficiently and accurately
  • Minimizing wait times while maintaining service quality
  • Informing guests about store events, brand launches, and loyalty programs
  • Assisting with digital services like Wallet, Target App, and fulfillment options
  • Handling returns, de-escalating negative situations, and recovering guest satisfaction
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Supporting various guest services including order pickup and drive-up
  • Performing other duties as needed
