Position

Guest Advisor – Education Services — Responsible to Assistant Director - Men’s Ministry (Recovery)

Overview

The Guest Advisor – Education Services oversees and manages operations of the Marshall Learning Center in alignment with the ministry mission.

Primary Responsibilities

• Spiritual
  • Seek to be a role model in attitude, speech, and actions in a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ.
  • Show by example the importance of Scripture memorization, Bible study, prayer, witnessing, and Christian fellowship.
  • Integrate Biblical principles and a Christian worldview into all ministry objectives and goals.
  • Be prepared to communicate the Mission’s religious beliefs to any who inquire.
  • Be ready to pray with and offer spiritual advice to employees and guests.
  • Follow Matthew 18 principles in addressing issues with employees and guests.
• Administrative
  • Assist the Director – Men’s Ministry in establishing policies and procedures for the Marshall Learning Center.
  • Supervise program participants, shelter guests, and community guests in the use of computer time in the Learning Center.
  • Review and choose curriculum for use in classes taught in the Learning Center.
  • Oversee volunteer teachers and tutors in the Learning Center.
  • Teach classes in the Learning Center such as Job Readiness, Basic Computer Skills, Microsoft Office, and Budgeting.
  • Assist guests in online job searches.
  • Assist guests in writing and updating resumes.
  • All other duties as required.
