Job summary

Gen II Fund Services is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory compliance for licensed client entities under GFSC frameworks in Guernsey. The role includes designing monitoring programmes, advising Boards, and managing GFSC interactions to ensure timely regulatory reporting and proactive risk management.

The ideal candidate will have GFSC-recognised qualifications and 5 years in finance compliance, with strong leadership and policy development skills.

Qualifications

• GFSC-recognised compliance qualification and CPD in line with GFSC fitness and propriety expectations.
• 5 years’ relevant finance industry experience.
• 5 years’ experience within the compliance environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the appointed Compliance Officer for licensed client entities under GFSC laws.
• Design, implement, and maintain the compliance monitoring programme for each client entity.
• Provide timely compliance advice to management and Boards on regulatory obligations.
• Compile and present Management Information on compliance matters to Boards and for reporting.
• Draft, maintain and review compliance policies and procedures.
• Prepare and submit an Annual Compliance Report to the Board.
• Act as the primary GFSC contact for compliance matters and regulatory visits.
• Notify GFSC of material compliance failures or regulatory matters.
• Oversee BRAs and sanctions compliance obligations for client entities.
• Maintain staff fitness and propriety assessments for prescribed roles.
• Promote a compliant culture and attend internal committee meetings.
• Keep knowledge up to date with legislation and GFSC guidance.
