Curtis Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Skilled Laborer for its Guardrail Division. Under close supervision, you will perform traffic control, concrete preparation, and guardrail installation following safety regulations at outdoor construction sites.

Job Description/Summary

This Skilled Laborer position is held within the Guardrail Division of Curtis Contracting, Inc. Moderate physical demands; strength sufficient to lift and move items weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

• Knowledge and practical application to operate mini excavators, skid steers, front end loaders and familiar with some aspects of heavy equipment operation.


• Techniques of traffic control.


• OSHA safety rules and regulations, and safety standards in hazardous traffic environments.


• Federal and state safety laws and regulations.


• Safe and efficient operation and maintenance of small construction equipment as well as miscellaneous hand held tools according to standard operating and safety procedures.


• Following safe work practices.


• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers.


• Following verbal and written instructions.
