Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of guardianship experience, strong knowledge of Florida statutes, and proficiency in case management and MS Office to manage complex files and deadlines effectively.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Florida guardianship paralegal or equivalent role.
• Strong knowledge of Florida guardianship statutes and procedures.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency with case management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Draft guardianship petitions, inventories, annual plans, annual accountings, and related pleadings in compliance with Florida law.
• Manage court deadlines, hearing scheduling, and statutory reporting obligations.
• Prepare hearing notebooks and assist attorneys with evidentiary preparation.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
• Communicate professionally with clients, examining committees, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
• Coordinate service of process and track required filings.
• Ensure compliance with all guardianship reporting requirements.
• Manage multiple active matters and prioritize tasks effectively.
