Job summary

Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) – Division of Aging Services, Public Guardianship is hiring an Adult Guardianship Case Manager 2 to oversee guardianship case management in Columbus, GA and surrounding counties. Regular travel is expected and the role provides services to vulnerable adults and their families under state guardianship laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with guardianship processes and supervision supported by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide guardianship case management under guardianship law and court orders.
• Develop care plans coordinating services and supplies for clients.
• Exercise surrogate decision-making as appropriate.
• Coordinate with fiduciaries to meet client financial needs.
• Educate guardianship clients and stakeholders in the assigned multi-county area.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

One (1) year of experience at lower level Adult Guardianship CM 1 (SSP190) or position equivalent
