Job description

**Guard House Attendant (part-time)

**

Status: part-time, non-exempt **
Hours:** Roughly 25 hours / week; Monday-Friday during the school year; 9:00am – 2:00pm (hours may vary at the discretion of the Director of Security and Campus Safety)

The Guard House Attendant serves as the first point of contact for visitors to Brook Hill during school hours, helping to ensure a welcoming yet secure entrance to campus. This position is responsible for managing the school's front gate during most regular school hours (to be defined by the Director of Security and Campus Safety), greeting guests, verifying identity through school security systems, and performing light administrative tasks. The Guard House Attendant reports to the Director of Security and Campus Safety and collaborates as needed with the Security team and other school personnel.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor and control access through the school's main entrance during assigned hours.
  • Greet visitors and verify identity through the Raptor visitor management system when gates are closed.
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming presence at the front gate.
  • Communicate effectively with the security team, campus personnel, and administration regarding visitor activity or concerns.
  • Perform light administrative tasks for the Director of Security and Campus Safety, including data entry and document updates using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Maintain records of visitors and deliveries during operational hours.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Guard House workspace.
