Job description

ON-CALL, FULL-TIME CAREGIVER - VALDOSTA (local candidates, please)

Great opportunity for a Caregiver to get 40 hours guaranteed pay per week with benefits! Starting pay is based on experience and above regular starting pay.

IMPORTANT: Only apply for this position if you are able to work weekdays, some evenings, some overnights, and some weekends on an on-call basis.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be trained and willing to provide all types of services that a client may require, including home management tasks, personal care tasks, and nurse-delegated tasks.
  • Must be willing to work with all types of clients, including males, females, couples/spouses, and clients that might have special circumstances or exhibit challenging behavior (such as Alzheimer’s or dementia).
  • Must be willing to work with clients that smoke and/or have pets.
  • Must be willing to drive to see a client in any part of our service territory (no exceptions). Gas allowance provided in some situations.
  • There will also be times in this position that you are on standby, which means you will need to be available to work as needed.
Requirements to be a caregiver:
  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect.
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months or more hands-on experience with Assisted Care.
  • Complete a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screen.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance.
Benefits
  • Guaranteed Hours – guarantee that you will be paid for a minimum of 40 hours per week/80 hours per pay period.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Sick Leave – 6 days (48 hours) paid PTO/sick leave time per year, available in full after 60 days in the position.
  • Opportunity to participate in company 401K.
  • Weekly Schedule – you receive your schedule on a weekly basis from the Scheduling Department.
  • Refer-a-Friend bonus $100.
  • $17 per hour pay rate.
