Job summary

AMBYTH Shipping & Trading, Inc. in Guam is seeking a Tractor Trailer Driver to operate tractors and trailers, load and unload as needed, and deliver containers to Port Authority of Guam, customers, and warehouses.

The role requires strict safety adherence and the ability to inspect and maintain vehicles daily. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 6 months to 1 year of related experience, and knowledge of DOT rules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 6 Months to 1 Year of related experience and/or training.
• Understand DOT rules and regulations governing equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operates tractor/trailer, low boy, boom truck, cargo van, and a box truck to transport containers or cargo.
• Observes safety practices and rules on the road.
• Checks gauges and visual indicators for malfunctions and conducts daily inspections of vehicles.
• Prepares and completes Invoice Container Receipt Tickets (ICRT) and verifies load against shipping papers.
• Clear shipping documents through Customs & Quarantine and Port Authority of Guam.
