Job summary

This position will primarily be based in Guam, supporting the Guam Construction Group. It involves installation, alteration, additions, and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and related equipment within the electrical construction industries. Travel to various areas in Guam may be required, with travel days up to 12 hours.

Qualifications

• 1+ years Electrician/Electrical experience
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, codes, rules
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and related equipment
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
• Ability to pass background check for Federal Agency security badging

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings; terminate cable; install and troubleshoot control wiring
• Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems
• Repair/replace wiring, equipment, fixtures; use hand/power tools
• Inspect components; maintain logs; schedule maintenance
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations
• Communicate with Facility Manager on work activities and repairs
• Operate heavy equipment as required
