AMETEK LMS in Naugatuck, CT seeks a GTAW Welder I to join a clean, organized manufacturing environment. You will weld components using Auto-Tig and Hand-Tig, inspect welds, and maintain workspace organization.

Requirements include 1 year TIG welding experience or completion of a welding program, ability to lift 50 lbs, arithmetic skills, and basic computer skills. AMETEK offers comprehensive benefits and hourly pay ranging from $45,000 to $55,000 annually equivalent in hourly terms.

Qualifications

• 1 year TIG welding experience or completion of an accredited welding program.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and meet physical requirements.
• Knowledge of arithmetic and basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Good hand–eye coordination for precision welding.

Responsibilities

• Set up and complete jobs using blueprints, drawings, and process sheets with Auto-Tig and Hand-Tig.
• Check welds visually and dimensionally for conformance with specs.
• Organize the work and storage area for efficient workflow.
• Perform cross sectioning and etching of weld samples.
• Cross-train for testing and mechanical assembly tasks.

Are you an experienced welder looking for a rewarding career in a clean and organized manufacturing environment? AMETEK LMS is seeking a GTAW Welder to join our dynamic production team. Here’s what you can look forward to:

As an GTAW Welder I, you will:

• Follows instructions contained in the work order and examines final product to confirm completion according to specification
• Set-up and complete jobs in accordance with blueprints, drawings, and process sheets welding components using Auto-Tig and Hand-Tig
• Check welds visually and dimensionally with measuring instruments for conformance to blueprints and specifications
• Organizes work and storage area for efficient workflow
• Performs cross sectioning and etching of weld samples
• Cross-train for testing and mechanical assembly tasks

GTAW Welder I Position Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, push, pull at least 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of arithmetic
• Basic computer skills
• Good hand and eye coordination
• 1-year previous TIG welding experience or completion of an accredited welding program.

Salary Range and Benefits:

The hourly pay range will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition, AMETEK provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee assistance program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off.
