Job summary

AMETEK LMS is seeking a GTAW Welder I to join our manufacturing team in a clean, organized environment. You will follow work orders, set up jobs from blueprints, and perform welds with Auto-Tig and Hand-Tig while ensuring quality.

Responsibilities include inspecting welds, organizing the work area, and cross-training for testing and assembly tasks. Minimum TIG welding experience or completion of an approved program is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year TIG welding experience or completion of an accredited welding program.
• Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 lbs and comply with safety rules.
• Strong arithmetic and basic computer skills for shop documentation.

Responsibilities

• Follow work orders and inspect final product for spec conformance.
• Set up and complete jobs per blueprints and process sheets using Auto-Tig/Hand-Tig.
• Visually and dimensionally check welds with measuring tools.
• Organize workspace for efficient workflow and cross-train as needed.

Are you an experienced welder looking for a rewarding career in a clean and organized manufacturing environment? AMETEK LMS is seeking a GTAW Welder to join our dynamic production team. Here’s what you can look forward to:

As an GTAW Welder I, you will:

• Follows instructions contained in the work order and examines final product to confirm completion according to specification
• Set-up and complete jobs in accordance with blueprints, drawings, and process sheets welding components using Auto-Tig and Hand-Tig
• Check welds visually and dimensionally with measuring instruments for conformance to blueprints and specifications
• Organizes work and storage area for efficient workflow
• Performs cross sectioning and etching of weld samples
• Cross-train for testing and mechanical assembly tasks

GTAW Welder I Position Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, push, pull at least 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of arithmetic
• Basic computer skills
• Good hand and eye coordination
• 1-year previous TIG welding experience or completion of an accredited welding program.

Salary Range and Benefits:

The hourly pay range will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
