AMETEK LMS is seeking a GTAW Welder I to join the manufacturing team in a clean, organized environment. You will follow work orders, set up jobs per blueprints, and inspect welds to ensure specifications are met.

The role requires TIG welding experience or a certified program, basic math, and good manual coordination. Training includes cross-training for testing and assembly tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform manual tasks.
• Basic arithmetic skills and good hand-eye coordination.
• 1 year TIG welding experience or completion of an accredited welding program.

Responsabilités

• Follows instructions in the work order and checks final product against specification.
• Sets up and completes jobs per blueprints, drawings, and process sheets using Auto-Tig and Hand-Tig.
• Inspects welds visually and dimensionally with measuring tools for conformance.
• Organizes the work and storage area for efficient workflow.
• Performs cross sectioning and etching of weld samples.
• Cross-trains for testing and mechanical assembly tasks.

As An GTAW Welder I, You Will

Are you an experienced welder looking for a rewarding career in a clean and organized manufacturing environment? AMETEK LMS is seeking a GTAW Welder to join our dynamic production team. Here’s what you can look forward to:

• Follows instructions contained in the work order and examines final product to confirm completion according to specification
• Set-up and complete jobs in accordance with blueprints, drawings, and process sheets welding components using Auto-Tig and Hand-Tig
• Check welds visually and dimensionally with measuring instruments for conformance to blueprints and specifications
• Organizes work and storage area for efficient workflow
• Performs cross sectioning and etching of weld samples
• Cross-train for testing and mechanical assembly tasks

GTAW Welder I Position Requirements

• Must be able to lift, push, pull at least 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of arithmetic
• Basic computer skills
• Good hand and eye coordination
• 1-year previous TIG welding experience or completion of an accredited welding program.

Salary Range And Benefits

The hourly pay range will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition, AMETEK provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee assistance program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off.
