Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field.

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
  • 5+ years solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business.
  • 5+ years leading cross‑functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
  • Export Control Requirement: U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or eligible refugee/asylum.

Are you ready to get in on the ground floor of Amazon’s long-term initiative to design, launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world? Join our North America Go-To-Market Finance team and drive strategic decisions for one of Amazon's largest investments.

As a Finance Manager, you’ll take ownership of financial models and analytics that shape our go-to-market strategy for the North America Consumer business. Your financial expertise will guide critical pricing decisions and strategic tradeoffs, establishing foundational capabilities with significant business impact. In this role, you’ll partner with business leaders to optimize investment strategies, build robust financial models, and communicate insights to executive leadership.

Key job responsibilities

A day in the life

Your day begins with reviewing key financial metrics and business performance indicators for the North America Consumer business. Throughout the day, you’ll partner with regional business leads to build and refine financial models that optimize go-to-market strategies.

When competing options arise, you’ll conduct ad hoc analysis to evaluate financial returns, balancing short-term needs with long-term value. You’ll translate complex data into concise written documents for senior leadership, managing stakeholder expectations and timelines while navigating cross-functional relationships to advance strategic priorities.

The North America Go-To-Market Finance team plays a critical role in shaping investment strategies for one of Amazon’s largest business areas. Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
  • Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • 5+ years of leading cross‑functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
  • 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
  • Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
